The Reinvention of a Collecting Classic

Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket was released on mobile app stores at the end of October 2024 but only recently caught the attention of Brewer students.

The game simulates collecting Pokémon cards and battling other players while eliminating the cost that comes with collecting physical cards. You can open two packs a day for free and then use hourglasses you collect to speed up the wait time.

The game also features the classic battling mechanic where you build a deck with the cards you pull from packs and battle with other players. Along with battling others, you can also showcase your favorite cards and display them to the community.

Overall, the reinvention of Pokémon cards as a mobile app gives those who wouldn’t go out of their way to the physical product the opportunity to experience collecting them by making it more accessible and for no cost.
