There comes unfortunate times where people end up in an abusive relationship and are not even aware of it. When someone is in an abusive relationship, it is not always obvious that they know they are in one.

The different types of abuse a person might be going through are sexual, emotional and physical abuse.

When an individual begins to abuse their partner, they might not be able to tell. The partner might start off by physically hurting an individual very subtly, like slapping your arm during a heated argument.

Even during a very heated argument your partner should not lay a finger on you.

Although it might be scary to confront your partner about physical abuse, you have to. You can not let your partner be ok with physically abusing you.

Being emotionally abused can come in many ways. Your partner might start by playing mind games such as gaslighting and manipulating.

Unreasonable jealousy, putdowns, such as them judging your looks in public and privately, controlling and possessive behavior, are big signs of your partner emotionally abusing you.

Completely changing one's mood in an instance is actually a really common thing for an abusive partner to do. It is also an example of emotional abuse.

Although there might be times that the partner will act in a loving manner and beg for forgiveness, it doesn't mean that the partner is going to stop the abuse. In most cases, the abuse never stops once it has started.
