With the fall season coming around, everyone starts wearing warmer clothes, drinking their favorite pumpkin flavored drinks, and re-watching their favorite show that gets them in the fall mood. Gilmore Girls is one of those shows that many people enjoy (during this season). One thing that Gilmore Girls is known for is their love for coffee. Rosalind Coffee, located in Garland Texas, has created drinks inspired by characters in Gilmore Girls.
The Lorelai is an espresso drink with drip and fireside. Fireside is a syrup created by Rosalind Coffee. The syrup is a mix of ginger, cinnamon, and cloves. This coffee basically being black coffee didn't really surprise me since Lorelai is a coffee addict. The taste itself was bitter and not really much flavor. You could taste a little bit of the fireside, it really just tasted like a candle. There was a hint of cinnamon - but not much. If you were to get this drink, I would advise you to drink it fast. After I left the drink sitting for a while it became salty for some reason. I do think that this coffee is something that the character would order. Overall, I would give this drink a 2 out of 5, but if you are someone who likes that bitter regular coffee taste, I would recommend this drink.
The next drink I tried was the Rory. The Rory is a fireside latte. It had tasted the same as the Lorelai, but with milk and it was less bitter. It had some sweetness but not a lot. I thought it was a good balance between the two. It had some foam on top, there was nothing special about it. You could also get this drink iced but I do feel like it is better hot. I would rate this drink a 3 out of 5. I would order it again but it's definitely not my favorite.
The Sookie is a pumpkin latte with coconut milk. This drink tasted like pumpkin bread. It wasn't too sweet or too bitter, it was a perfect mix. I noticed that this drink wasn't loaded with pumpkin or pumpkin spice like other places do. You could still taste the pumpkin but it wasn't overpowering. I don't really like coconut milk, but you couldn't taste it at all. You can substitute it for any other milk they have. This drink also had foam on top but it really didn't taste like anything. I give this drink a 4 out of 5. I definitely would order this again.
The last drink I tried was the Emily. The Emily is a chai latte with pumpkin. I decided to get this drink iced instead of hot. The drink was a good color, not too light, not too dark. It was a very sweet drink. Maybe it is because of the pumpkin and chai mix. If you are someone who enjoys a very sweet drink I would definitely recommend this drink for you. I could tell there was more pumpkin flavor than chai. I do think this drink would be better hot than iced. Overall I would give this drink a 3 out of 5. I would order this again, but only if I want something super sweet.
