As we are halfway through football season, we have played six games, and the Bears have gone 4-2. Over viewing the season, the Bears have proved themselves once again,

Our first game, and away game at Saginaw High School against the Saginaw RoughRiders. The Bears kept the score up all the way until halftime, with the score at 13-3. Kameron Coleman, scoring four of the touchdowns, kept the score up most of the game, having the final score come to 33-9, with a Bear win to start the season strong.

The second game of the season took a turn, as we never got to finish out the game. Playing at home against the Lake Dallas Falcons, the Falcons had us beat at halftime, with a score of 7-10. With 4:16 left on the clock in the 3rd quarter, the Bears brought the score up to 14-10. But closing the game to an end too soon, there was a Lightning Delay, making the game come to an end, but an unexpected Bear win!

Our third game of the season, playing against the Aledo Bearcats at their home stadium. Aledo, 6-0, is always a tough team to go against, but the Bears were confident going into this game. Proved otherwise, the Bearcats had us 21-0 in the first quarter. Going into halftime, Bearcats lead 44-0, defending Bears from scoring a single touchdown. In the fourth quarter, the Bears finally scored a touchdown bringing the score 54-7. Our first Bear loss of the season, 54-7, with a Bearcat win.

At our home stadium, we hosted the Richland Royals. After losing the first game of the season, we had our hopes high to get back at that winning streak. At halftime, The Royals had us beat 30-7, so it wasn’t looking good. We kept fighting, but the final score ended up being 42-14, bringing us to a second loss.

As the Bears took on their fifth game of the season, we took on the Azle Hornets on their home field. We kept the score close up till halftime, the Bears bringing it up to 34-21. As the game continues, the Bears keep the ball in play up until the end, bringing the score to 63-42 for a bear win.

The game we all waited for, homecoming. For our homecoming game, we played the Denton Broncos at our home field. The Broncos had us at halftime with the score at 17-10. But the Bears came back and didn't let the Broncos score a touchdown, and we brought the game up 38-17 bringing us to a Bear homecoming win.

The Bears will take on the Granbury Pirates for our last game of the season at Brewer Bear Stadium. This game will be a special one because it will be our Senior Night, on Friday, November 7 at 7 p.m., don’t miss it!
