in the summer of 2025, the varsity baseball team asked for new powder blue uniforms. After a long wait, they finally received them.

Superintendent Frank Molinar told Art Senato, the head baseball coach,

their wish could be granted,

with one condition.

“Mr. Molinar told me after I was hired that if we made the playoffs, we can wear whatever we want,” coach Senato said.

The team was thrilled to wear them, as they knew that they earned those uniforms.

“They were really excited and were made to understand that wearing them is a right that they earned, not a privilege,” Senato said.

Senato had many reasons to request new uniforms for the baseball players.

“First, it's what the players wanted. Second, it's a really good look. Third, the baseball team wore the same colors back in the 1970s. Brewer baseball was one of the best 4A programs in the area in the 1970s and 1980s,” Senato said.

I'm amazed at how much this team genuinely likes each other. That makes for great team chemistry. Great team chemistry can beat talent and ability,” Senato said. “The team that refuses to get beat won't get beat.”

In any sport, it’s important to follow certain expectations set by the leaders in order to keep your place on the team.

“I make it crystal clear what our standard is. The standard is the standard. Clarity, of what to do and how to do it, is the key to having a successful program in any sport,” Senato said. “If you do not meet the standard, then you lose the privilege of being part of the team.”

The baseball team has both the uniforms and morale boost from their hard work.
