The pride of Brewer High School, the Honeycomb Drill Team, hosted their annual Mini-Combs clinic, bringing in 70 kids to participate and perform with the Honeycombs.

“The Honeycombs put a lot of effort into making the clinic a special experience for everyone involved and attending,” Lillian Miller said.

Behind the scenes, the Honeycomb parents are a huge part of making this clinic happen. From making t-shirts, getting donations, and taking time to set up, they help make Mini-Combs what it has truly become.

During the practice day, the Mini-Combs got to come in and learn dances from the present Honeycombs, and get to create their own keepsake from the clinic to look back on. The Mini-Combs get to perform on the field with the Honeycombs, showing off the routine they learned previously.

The Mini-Combs clinic is open for a wide age range, Kindergarten through Eighth grade.

“The Mini-Combs represent the future of our program, and having the chance to continue such a cherished tradition is truly an honor,” Miller said.

The Mini-Combs clinic is not only a fundraiser for our team, but it also shows the potential for the future of Honeycombs. Seeing all the talent from these kids, and knowing the growth they will have, and the bonds they already have with present Honeycombs, shows our strong potential for the future of this program.

“My goal is to continue growing the Mini-Combs clinic and to introduce a spring clinic that will allow participants to perform on stage with the Honeycombs during our spring show,” Miller said.
