Ursa Major News is the official news source for Brewer High school. We are a team of student reporters, editors and contributors that provide news to the community relating to student life. We became “Ursa Major News” in 2018, after previously have been “Ursa Major Monthly” in 2015 and “The Bear Facts” in the 1950’s as a student publication representing C.F Brewer High.
Under the advisement of Flor Urbina, we provide stories where in modern society journalism is often overlooked, while also entertaining the student body. Ursa Major has reshaped and renewed itself multiple times throughout its history, but our values have never changed. Our stories provide insight into the happenings of our school, fresh perspectives on the most important events of our times. We publish factual, fair and honest journalism; we separate opinion from reporting. We encourage feedback and contributions from our readers.
