Senior athlete Alec Boyle has made the very best of his four years in high school. He has pushed himself to become successful, primarily in the extracurriculars he’s involved in. He has set records for himself and for the future athletes who will follow his path. He has become a remarkable athlete, student and individual. Boyle is loved by many teachers and peers after watching him grow these past years.

Boyle is a part of the football and powerlifting team. He has pushed himself to be successful within each sport. He works hard to be able to maintain stamina and drive through dedication for each team.

“For my senior year, I focused my fall semester strictly on football and studying film, while this spring I focused on powerlifting and increasing all my lifts,” Boyle said.

Each year, it is evident that his hard work and dedication have made him the outstanding student-athlete he is today. Throughout high school, Boyle has many accomplishments such as being named top 10% of his class, being the captain of the football team for three years while also earning first-team all-district three times and first-team academic all-state in football.

While being on the powerlifting team, he accomplished being three times best lifter, second overall in regionals- breaking the regional bench record with 420lbs, and placing ninth in the state.

“Making state for powerlifting is an amazing, but also humbling experience as some of the strongest high school athletes in the nation are turning their records into warm-ups,” Boyle said.

Throughout his school career, Boyle has put a lot of sweat, tears and hard work into all he does. He spends many hours working and practicing during and after school. His peers, teachers and coaches have seen his progress.

“I have known Boyle for five years,” coach and world history teacher Jeffrey Howeth said. “He is hard-working, determined and a great competitor. He was a very coachable, intelligent young man who helped lead our football team.”

As previously mentioned, Boyle was captain of the football team for three years. He has gained several experiences throughout those years that will carry on with him for many more years to come.

“He gained confidence since starting for us as a sophomore and grew into a leader and an incredible player and young man,” Howeth said.

He is a dedicated student in all subjects. He puts in hours of work into his academics just like he does with his extracurriculars in order to participate in what he loves doing most.

“I have known Alec for two years, I have had him in both of my dual credit math classes,” Calculus teacher Briana Hudson, “That on its own shows his ability to work hard and challenge himself.”

Boyle is not only a star athlete but also an outstanding student which many teachers admire. His teachers and peers love having him in class, he brings charisma and laughter everywhere he goes.

“I think he teaches everyone around him to not take life too seriously,” Hudson said. “We get work done in class but we also laugh a lot. It makes our achievements more enjoyable”.

He is a role model to many people around him. His teachers, coaches and peers have gotten to know and create memories with him. He has created great bonds with many people but has become a role model for his own sister.

“He is a great role model to me.” Junior Serena Boyle said, “I have always looked up to him, he is an amazing example of a student-athlete and an older brother.”

Boyle has filled everyone's lives with laughter and joy. His friends love spending time with him and inviting him out. His friends and teachers are excited to see what the future holds for him.

“My hopes for him is that he will enjoy these last few high school milestones and make good memories before he is off to college on his next adventure,” Hudson said, “Keep being you because the world needs more laughter.”

Similar to how friends become closer throughout the years, some teachers form deeper bonds with their students throughout the years. Boyle's teachers and coaches each have taught him something and will miss having him.

“I have become close with Alec and his siblings and have enjoyed watching them grow into great athletes and leaders,” Howeth said, “My only advice to him is to be confident. You will do fine kid.”
